This is the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC. It is sometimes referred to as VVM or "the Wall". This is not a war Memorial but a Memorial to those who served in the war, both living and dead. The walls and landscaping were completed by November 1, 1982.

The Minnesota Vietnam Veterans Memorial is located just south of the State Capitol in St. Paul, behind the Veterans Administration building.

I was obviously wrong...Oh well...I guess I have DC on my mind...Jeff and I were just talking about his past vacation there and my parents are heading to DC in about 2 weeks for a 35th wedding anniversary celebration. I must have had it on my mind. I stand corrected, it is the MN memorial. The memorial honors and recognizes all Minnesotans (68,000) who served in Vietnam, especially those who were killed (1,077) and those who are missing in action (43).
