In August of 2004 my Mom and I took a trip to Washington DC for 8 days. It was a trip that we had talked about doing as a High School graduation gift, but we were not able to get it scheduled then. Before leaving we had not really made plans for our time there but had an idea of the sites that we wanted to see. It was a great trip and I would love to be able to go back and see some sites we missed the first time.

The White House

The Supreme Court

Union Station

The Library of Congress

The National Archives

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing

Thomas Jefferson Memorial

Lincoln Memorial

Washington Monument

National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial

World War II Memorial

Vietnam Veterans Memorial

Korean War Veterans Memorial

Arlington National Cemetery

Tomb of the Unknowns

President John F. Kennedy Grave Site

Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum

Our Hotel: Hyatt Capitol Hill

DCFD station across from hotel

Great post Jeff, once again, your photos are amazing! I don't know why you put the best photo last? :)
Bill
Thanks Bill.
While I do like the classic look of that Fire Station I fugured there would only be a couple of people who would appreciate it. . . . . That might be kind of a cool thing to do now that I think about it . . . . classic Fire Station pictures . . . hmmmm we'll see
That would make a great contest....fire stations of the metro area....go from city to city snapping shots of the station then have people guess what city and fire station....Mpls and St. Paul would be very cool and some of the older suburbs...
YEAH Jeff an update! This is a cool post. Bill is right, you take some amazing pictures. Thank you!
